So guys I want to bring to light a serious thing and I was gonna remake this thread at one point and this would be put in the front if I had.
Counterfeit cards are real and now so close to real cards you need to go to extreme measure. This is more for Modern and Legacy and Vintage but still be careful.
I just bought a Bayou and got it today and it seemed off, I wont be able to make sure its fake till tomorrow but I also got a badlands a while back and it also might be fake and this was from a accredited seller. Wasn't till I did some research to realize that there is a Chinese seller putting these counterfeits out there.
So you go to buy ANY card over $20 make sure you get proof its real if you have ANY reason to doubt it. Fakes are not a concern until they are. Get your knowledge up and if you have a local scene share with them this info. Many ways to check for fakes knowledge and now they seem to be too high a saturation in the pool. I know I personally will not buy anymore real cards unless by a real company or I get for sure they are legit. These "proxy" cards are so close to a real thing a person just getting into legacy etc may not realize what they are getting.

Breed Descent - comic book style fighting game
Hello, I'm Deric Row, Creator of the fighting game "Breed Descent" that's currently in production. I'm are currently looking for feedback. Questions or anything you will like to see would be grateful
Breed Descent is a fighting game with 2D gameplay in a 3D world. Experience it's tag team mechanics, 2-on-2 battles, combos, tight controls, hyperfast animation and more. The game is inspired by the legacy games like Xmen vs Street Fighter and Marvel vs Capcom. Lastly, making the game fun and enjoyable to both play and watch is the utmost important thing at the end of the day. At the same time introducing unique abilities for each character, giving the players the tools to discover and dissect the game to the fullest extent of a long time period, giving the player options, the freedom, to do what thou wilt.
Setting:
The game is set in a corrupt world with characters from different walks of life. They step out as the world begins to fall into a struggle, ready to fight for their lives, not for the greater good, but for their own survival. There are ones trying to play god and they have opened up both visible and invisible portals, they will soon regret. No human being is a saint, even if he/she has a good heart, pride will always rear its ugly head into the mix, especially if they are granted with power that can’t go unnoticed. Still, what makes us think those who are willing to do good deeds are powerful enough to defeat, the bad, the evil? But, that's the beauty, in Breed Descent, the negative ones are still a threat amongst each other, and things are about to become a power struggle.
Campaign
There will be a campaign held on kickstarter to help with the development of Breed Descent. It being funded will allow me to add extra modes, assist (types), get quality voice actors/actress (not have to use voice packs), add option for 4k ultra hd resolution, and converting character models to sprites that looks better in comparison, and giving you that the full experience of 2D gameplay in a 3D world (will post photos of both sprites vs models of characters while in-game in near future). Also, this will allow me to work on breed descent full time, which will speed up the development cycle.
Also, there will be a tournament thrown for the backers. I have a Geforce GTX 760 and Geforce GTX 970, I will be giving away to the winners (more info on how the tournament will work, once the campaign has launched). Other rewards and contest will follow.

Asciiware PS1 Stick
Okay, my little cousin got a ps1 from my uncle since he doesn't use it anymore and he got some fighting games like Street Fighter Collection, Tobal 2 and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. He really wants to use a arcade stick. I found one of the old school Asciiware arcade sticks for $10. Are they any good? Any alternatives are also appreciated as well.

No problem, sir. You've got streaming sites such as Goodanime.net or Anilinkz.com that could help you out on that.
How about manga?

Many of these shows and manga are already licensed outside of Japan, so if you want to support them, buy their DVDs or books from you local or online retailer whenever you have the chance!

Ughh, my body is not ready!In a surprise move, Bryan Singer today revealed the title of the next chapter of 20th Century Fox's popular X-Men franchise. May 27, 2016 will see the release of X-Men: Apocalypse!
Apocalypse, created by Louise and Walter Simonson, made his debut in X-Factor #6. The world's first mutant, En Sabah Nur was born in Egypt around 3,000 BC and used advanced technology to make himself an eternal conquerer, believing whole heartedly in survival of the fittest.
The character's most popular storyline, "The Age of Apocalypse," ran in the X-Men books beginning in 1995. Set in a parallel reality formed by interference to the timeline, "The Age of Apocalypse" saw Professor Charles Xavier murdered before he could form the X-Men. Instead, a very different take on the team began with Magneto leading them through a post-apocalyptic America ruled by mutants.
Since next summer's X-Men: Days of Future Past involves a time travel storyline, it's likely that a filmic take on "The Age of Apocalypse" could spin out of the new film's ending. It's certainly something that 20th Century Fox has considered as ComingSoon.net has learned that domains like AgeofApocalypsemovie.com have been registered by the studio for years. What's more, Singer's new film is set to introduce key "Age of Apocalypse" characters like Bishop (Omar Sy) and Blink (Bingbing Fan).
At this stage, however, all that's confirmed is the May 27, 2016 release date, which puts X-Men: Apocalypse up against Walt Disney Pictures' Alice in Wonderland 2.

This thread is for our newer (and not-so-new members) who wish for tips and guidance in the brave new world of SF5.
Replays/vids, suggestions and pitching in is greatly encouraged. Same for posting PSN and Steam ID's in case you want to do the online thing.

Achieving Survival Mode Colors. Outsmart the HARD CPU
This will list tips for beating specifically the infamous HARD survival mode. These tactics should obviously also make it easier to get the easy and medium colors. Starting off with Chun, but will list others as I find stuff and people list things.
General tips. Always use either health boosts or more importantly defense up boosts (particularly defense 2 or 3). If you have a large amount of life and a big defense boost this allows you to make more mistakes without worrying as much. If possible, start any of the first few stages with double downs only. You should be able to beat the first few characters without getting hit much, if at all. If successful you'll have a lot of points early on and won't need to worry about being cheap towards buying more health. Using attack powerups isn't bad either to help you clear the early stages faster.

I love this thread idea! Even though I don't have any vids I do have a few Birdie tips.
The ai won't do anything after f.hk most of the time and also tends to try to block the overhead crouching.
The cpu usually tries to hit you out of your armored specials.
Banana peel makes characters without a fireball act weird. If it's between you and them they will try to walk forward and block it while not punishing anything you do. So stand behind a peel and spam anything with range.

Up until level 30 or so, teleport mixus ought to be pretty reliable. Mics during online matches
Let's face it, fighting games aren't cooperative and don't really require team coordination, so the mic basically ends up being a way to shit on your opponent most of the time. Then again, I've had a few precious moments where the other guy was talking to himself and it increased the hype because I could hear him trying to clutch out a win and basically going through what I was going through. But for every moment like that, I have ten guys freestyle rapping, telling me I'm a scrub-ass nigga who should kill myself, or playing music over a 5 dollar microphone. So you know, pros and cons. Is talking to your opponent during an online match in poor form? Is it just an extension of shit-talking during local multiplayer? Is popping off and general asshattery an integral part of the FGC? Is microphone support during online matches even necessary or does it just detract from the experience?

Take note though that while Boyes does say that the rights do belong to Activision...he doesn’t say that a new Crash isn’t coming in some capacity. The idea has been presented by Andrus Ansip, Vice President for the Digital Single Market on the European Commission. Mr Ansip is from Estonia, where they currently have a highly-developed national ID card system
